Battle of the Bands
Guitars, leather and emo-style screaming... last night was not your average night at Swindon's Walkabout
The bar, best known for its disco dancing weekend nights, played host to five local bands who battled it out on stage with a music mixture from Christian metalcore to quirky indie.
The long-running event sponsored by Jack Daniels has previously spawned successful rock bands such as U2, and this year's winners - Parallax Error are now finding themselves competing for a chance to play at London's famous Temple venue and £5.000 of music equipment.
The regional finals will also be taking place at Swindon's Walkabout venue on Wednesday 16 April.
